My name is Madison Tasker, and I am currently a Junior at West Hall High School. At West Hall, I am involved in many clubs and activities, one of which is the Honors Mentorship Program. Some other extracurricular activities that I take part in include Beta Club, National Honors Society, occasional community service, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. Through the IB Program, I plan on having a full year of freshman college credits by the time I graduate high school with a full IB diploma. In order to put those credits to use, I intend on attending a large college somewhere within the state of Georgia. The two colleges on my list of possibilities are Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia, which is commonly known as UGA.
I played softball all of my life up until last year when I decided it was not what I wanted to do anymore. This school year, I played golf for the first time and enjoyed it alongside on of my friends. I have a closely-knit group of friends, all of which I interact with frequently and spend lots of my time with. In my sophomore year, my class of 2016 voted me onto Sweetheart Court. This school year, they voted me onto Prom Court and I won the title of West Hall's Princess. I was honored.
I enjoy school for the most part, but there are days when I would rather be somewhere else. On days like those, I look forward to seventh period for the time when I get to go to my mentorship at
The Longstreet Clinic's pharmacy with Mr. Dan Lorenzen, my mentor and Longstreet Clinic's head
pharmacist.
